Close up of the gothic lace pattern on the Dominique scarf. This was a lot easier than it looks to knit up.
close up of the Old Shale Shetland Lace pattern on the Ondine scarf. Shame the close-up has washed out the rich khaki colour of the yarn.
The Ondine scarf. Knitted in a wool blend aran. Should be available from the Wootton Village boutique next week.
The Katie scarf. Knitted in rib stitch with a merino wool blend, this should be available from the wootton village boutique as of next week.
Ladies and gentlemen, may i present to you the LJ scarf. Made for my friend who doesn’t like to be called Laura-Jayne, in honour of her birthday. LJ is possibly my most chilled out friend. I know if I’m ever having drama I can talk it through with her and instantly feel better. She has this totally infectious outlook of not letting things get too complicated, and she pretty much always has the best gossip. LJ’s style can be summed up in the fact she showed me a picture of her wedding dress, and then showed me a picture of the puma trainers she’s wearing with it. I wanted to reflect her easygoing style in this scarf, so i picked a biscuit colour, and it’s just a one-loop circle scarf because it doesn’t get less complicated than that. I knitted it in chenille because her fiancee is in the army and she’s going over to say in Germany with him soon, in an accidentally-picked teddybear themed hotel, and chenille always reminds me of teddybears. She was chuffed with it when i gave it to her on Monday.
